Hi ๐Ÿ™‚ Sorry, I am back to one posting a day…although I think I MIGHT be able to do one at lunch eventually..
I started my new job today & I REALLY like it. I definitely see it as a career- with many advancement opportunites in the future!!
Circuit 1: (warm up circuit- supposed to do only once, I did it twice)

This morning I started my day out at the gym- back to Making the Cut- since my room was free..there aren’t many people there at 5:30am.

What time do you go to the gym? / Are there a lot of people when you go? / How do you prefer it?

Making the Cut-Day 25

-Decline Dumbbell Press: 20 reps
-Squats- 50 fast
-Step Plyos: 1 min.
-Butt Kicks: 1 min.

Circuit 2:

-Plyo Push- ups: 10 reps (clap when you push up)
-Dumbbell Flys on body ball with crunches: 15 reps (arms out to side)
-Leg Extensions (pyramid up with weight): 20 reps, 12 reps, 6-8 reps
-Knee Tuck Jumps: 10 reps
-Step Plyos holding dumbbells in EACH hand: 30 sec.

Circuit 3:

-Scorpion push-ups: 10 reps (5 each side)
-Alternating dumbbell press on body ball with elbow drive: 10 reps EACH leg
-Surrenders: 10 reps EACH leg (USE DUMBBELLS)
-Side Step Plyos: 1 min.

Circuit 4:

-Dips: perform until muscle failure
-Basic Lunge with military shoulder press: 20 reps each leg
-Burpies: 20 reps

Circuit 5:

-W shoulder press with leg extension: 10 reps EACH leg
-Rope Tricep press: 20 reps
-Straight Leg squat thrust: 30 sec.
-Chair Pose: 30 sec.
-Side plank with inner thigh raise: 10 reps EACH side

I did this circuit TWICE & then did 50 crunches on the Bosu ball.
Total time @ gym in the morning: 1 hr, Total calories burned: 397, Max HR: 230, Avg HR: 136

For breakfast I made my last Green Monster..until I get my new protein powder that is :)(my fingers are crossed that it will be here tomorrow) I made it the usual way: 1/2 scoop whey protein, lots of spinach, a few blueberries, 1 frozen banana, some water, 1 tsp. cocoa powder, 1 tsp. peanut butter (1 tsp. in my mouth too ๐Ÿ˜‰ ), & lots of ice.
Then I headed to work & did lots of training this afternoon. I really like the office- everyone is super nice & friendly. It is refreshing.

For lunch I had the usual…although I need to change it up because it did not fill me up. At 2:30pm I was getting SUPER hungry again. I get lunch from 11.30pm- 12.30pm…so lunch lasted me about 2 and 1/2 hours- NOT long enough…that’s for sure.

1 apple, 1 alternative blueberry bagel, animal crackers & chobani Greek yogurt.

On my way home I was SO thankful I had my ‘just in case’ snack bar with me:
Fiber One bar- Oats & Caramel. It hit the spot. My tummy was a GROWLING!

When I got home, Craig & I head to the gym- he doesn’t like going with me in the morning, so I decided to start my two- a -day workouts today. I like going to the gym with him, so I figured why not?! I like doing two a days when summer season really hits..and since it’s June 1st I thought it would be a good day. ๐Ÿ™‚

For workout #2 I did:
10- 10- 10
10 minutes Incline walking- 15% incline, 3.0
10 minutes running- .5% incline, speed 6.5- 7.0
10 minutes elliptical- 10 crossramp, 5 resistance

Then I did some more ab stuff- 20 bosu ball crunches with cable pulls behind head (35lb.) <– those things HURT. I think I have found my new favorite ab move.
-20 crunches with hands on knees
-10 crunches each side (obliques) on body ball
-20 regular crunches on ball
-5 ball passes
-20 bench tuck crunches

Total time: 40: 48 minutes, 292 calories burned, 189 Max HR, 144 Avg HR

I really like going twice today because I think it helped loosen me up- I was still really sore from the lower body workout on Monday…and then more leg work with Making the Cut..so this workout kind of helped with the soreness.

For dinner I made a new recipe ๐Ÿ™‚ I made Katie’s Cheerio Chicken!! It was a GREAT mix of sweet & salty..and it had fiber in it!!

YUM! Dinner was PERFECT! I prepped the cereal last night- like put it in the food processor & then just put it in a Ziplock baggie to use tonight..since I knew we would be going to the gym after work today. So it is a great dinner to prepare for the night before you plan to make it. I also drizzled some honey over the top of the tenders before baking for an extra sweet taste ๐Ÿ˜‰

While reading the new Shape magazine, I found some pretty interesting things:

-First, based on a survey taken from Menโ€™s Fitness– a womanโ€™s butt is her sexiest body part, according to 40% of guys!! Crazy, right?? Guess those butt exercises could be a good thing ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Holly! Question for you…what brand of blender did you just get? Mine totally crapped out on me tonight and I’m in need of a new one that’s going to last me!

    Oh, and by the way, your meal totally left me craving mac & cheese! Brings me back to my childhood ๐Ÿ˜€

      I got a Hamilton Beach one from Bed Bath & Beyond. I really like it- much better than my old one. & we didn’t pay a fortune which helps. It was only like $30.
      Oh, & I LOVE mac & cheese..it’s the one childhood food that I still have to make consistently. ๐Ÿ™‚

    everytime i tried to make baked crispy chicken, it never works. its always soggy. lol. i’ll make it well someday!

    • I didn’t do either ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Bummer. But I have DEFINITELY noticed differences- in EVERY part of my body. Actually starting to like my arms (which has NEVER happened…and my waist has gotten smaller too.)
