Dinner with the RAVENS & Visit to the National Aquarium

Hello πŸ˜€ I don’t know if I’ve said it yet (shame on me) but HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Now I’m still re-capping my trip to Maryland…and this is another post about that. Hope you don’t mind πŸ˜‰ This one is the about the day after the SURPRISE bridal shower.

The next day was Craig’s birthday present to me. He wanted to take me to the inner harbor to celebrate with a special dinner out & then a trip to the National Aquarium. We started the day out with a GREAT workout at the gym, and then around noon we headed down to the inner harbor. We checked into our hotel & then decided to stroll around. Let me tell you, it was FAAAAAA-RRREEEEZZZZZINNNG!! My lips were too cold to even talk! Thankfully our hotel was only a few blocks away, so it wasn’t too long of a walk. We decided to grab some lunch at a sushi restaurant & after lunch we walked to Barnes & Noble– taking pictures along the way πŸ˜€

We left the bookstore around 5pm to head back to the hotel to get ready. Our reservations were for 8pm, but Craig suggested we head down there around 7pm to get drinks before dinner. Sounded like a plan to me πŸ˜‰

The place he picked for dinner was called Pazo. This place looks like really nothing from the outside, it’s actually in an old Warehouse. But, once you walk in, it’s so nice!! Here are some pictures from the inside:

WhileΒ we were at the bar having a drink, the CRAZIEST, and I mean CRAZIEST thing happened. Craig looks over at me & goes, “H, I think that’s Ed Reed that just walked in the door.” I think my stomach totally HIT the floor at that moment. I’m not sure if you know who Ed Reed is, but he’s the RAVENS starting Safety. He’s a pro-bowler, Super Bowl champ, and just an AMAZING football player.

^ that’s Ed in action πŸ˜€

Well, as soon as I look over, I KNEW it- It was in FACT Ed Reed!!!! I was in TOTAL shock. I could not believe my eyes. And then all of the other Ravens Defensive Backs start walking in- including: Lardarius Webb, Haruki Nakamura, Tom Zbikowski, Chris Carr, Fabian Washington,Β Carey Williams, & Josh Wilson.

I thought at that very moment, when I realized that we were in the SAME restaurant at the SAME time as some of my favorite players, that my heart would stop! As I’m sure you all know, I LOVE the Ravens, and just the sight of all of these guys in one place, that close,Β is a ONCE in a lifetime kind of thing! πŸ˜€

Now I didn’t want to be TOTAL stalker status and walk up to them while they were trying to eat dinner, but I DID go & meet all of them after dinner. We noticed when they were leaving, and I walked downstairs to see them all. GUESS WHAT?!! I was like “Hi Guys- GREAT game last night!” Then Ed Reed walked up to me & stuck his hand out so that I could shake his hand!!! I never wanted to wash my hand after that πŸ˜€ Then I saw Lardarius Webb (LOVE LOVE him) – he’s an up & coming player- and I asked him if I could give him a hug. He seemed happy when I asked him & gave me a BIG hug!

I didn’t ask for any pictures with them, or any autographs, honestly I didn’t want to be THAT fan. There was one guy whoΒ kept going up to their table & asking for pictures & autographs all while they were trying to eat dinner. I just really don’t like when people do that, & I would assume the players don’t either. I’m just happy to know that I got to shake the BALL HAWK’S (Ed Reed) hand & then HUG one of my FAVORITE players- Lardarius πŸ˜€
Here’s a picture of them at dinner, hard to see because no flash- didn’t want to cause a seen: (I labeled them too )

SUCH a COOL night!! πŸ˜€
And the next morning we were off to the National Aquarium! We spent about 3 hours there just exploring all of the sights. Below are some of my favorite pictures that I took.

isn’t this picture hilarious?! this fish swam RIGHT up to me, let me take his picture & then swam away before anyone else got to take one. i think he has a crush πŸ˜‰ hahaha πŸ˜€

PIG nosed turtle!!

And my favorite part…..the jellies!

Here’s a picture of me FREEZING, but with a cute crab πŸ™‚

& last but not least- a place were you can find some pretty DELICIOUS food…

Stay tuned for the meal I made for Craig’s parents while I was up there & my New Years Eve re-cap!! <– goooood times! πŸ˜€

  3. I went to DC for New Years last year! I wanted to go to the aquarium but there was so much to do and not enough time. We ended up choosing the zoo and then it rained – bad decision!

I love love loveee this post.. It is great that you got to run into your favorite team’s players on your birthday celebration! I look forward in reading your posts and your workout routines. It is a good break from food blogs which make me hungry and gives me motivation for me to switch up my routine.

    • So cool! πŸ™‚ I love Maryland. We always have a good time when we visit up there. Well, we just stayed the night in Baltimore, but my fiance’s family is in Bel Air- we were there for 10 days- and we did go to a few restaurants. One of my favorites is Pairings- have you ever heard of it? It is SO good!!! Especially the cream of crab soup.
